Aren't both about both safety and holding those accountable who break the law?
A belated return to the musings of a scribbler who considers himself an largely unreconstructed Capitalist, a Constitutional Textualist, and a largely unrepentant Stogie Smoking Curmudgeon. With luck, you'll find a bit of insight here, assembled from a logical and reasonable perspective, and served with a side of twisted humor. Be aware that irony and sarcasm may often find their way into these offerings; and it's the reader's obligation to discover where, when, or if they occur.

Tim,
I gotta tell ya from my experience of living in Arizona half of each year: Those politicians are a strange breed indeed. The immigration law(s), Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and all those hot button issues are always, always in the news media out there.
Roland,
I have to believe that they are, and there do seem to be some characters.
I'm not sure what Immigration policy should be in this country, but I get concerned when which laws get enforced becomes political and when public safety (which I understand is a real concern in AZ) and selective enforcement appear to have a political agenda.
